Document Sharing - Contract for landscape design

This is an offer to conduct a Landscape Design for the ........ in …......

There will be two on-site presentations included.  The first will include two Concept Plans. The second on site presentation will include a scale Final Design Plan, A Planting Schedule and Construction Details.  A fee of $1000 covers the two site visits, drafting and printing of all plans and documents specified above.

Concept Plan Stage

A scale concept plan showing the basic layout of the garden(s), including basic hardscape features, designated planting areas, materials, activity areas and a general thematic plan for the property. This will be presented on site with consideration of $200 dollars.

The concept plans will incorporate the features discussed such as:

• Utilisation of the whole area
• Allow for: passive recreation, quite reflection, shade.
• Protection of heritage trees
• Sustainable design principles
• A vista through the House windows and a link from the building into the park
• A covered pergola connected to the house
• Use of recycled water for irrigation
• 20% retention of turf
• Consideration of movement through and around the site.
• Removal of weeds (unless trees)
• A couple of sculpture or other features areas

·         Sitting areas atleast 3 sitting areas, each having an element of privacy, for between 8       and 16 people each.

·         Construction Materials of a sustainable nature, long lasting and durable.

·         Paved areas can be treated with a variety of treatments

·         Raised areas  present sites levels can be modified to create interest.

·         Waste bins to be positioned in unobtrusive positions, but strategically for appropriate use.

·         Lighting can be incorporated to provide accent illumination at night.

·         Plant selection should be interesting and sustainable, utilising existing feature trees and selected plants.

·         Plants should be selected for the area and their use. Low maintenance and low water use is preferable.

·         Water management All surface water will be managed on site

To a budget of $100,000

At this point the choice is made as to whether the remaining detailed plans will be drawn up.  A cost of $800 for the Final Design Plan will be payable upon delivery. The Concept Design charge of $200 is non-refundable regardless of the commissioning of the Final Design Plan.

Final Design Plan

Any changes requested by the client will be incorporated in the Final Design Plan. The Final Design Plan will be accompanied by a report that includes a list of specifications, plant descriptions, maintenance and installation guidelines.

Additional Consultation

If the client requires more than two on-site consultations as specified above, any additional consultations will be charged at $80 per hour. Additional drafting outside the scope of this contract will be charged at $80 per hour. The client will be responsible for additional costs of duplication, further printing, travel expense to/from the site.
